How much is Piers Morgan worth?
Piers Morgan is a British journalist and television presenter, with an estimated net worth of £14.5 million.
It is just as well he has a few pounds in the bank, because the 55 year old recently walked out of his prime-time role as co-presenter on ITV’s “Good Morning Britain” program, over comments he made about Meghan Markle and her recent interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Piers Morgan began his career as a journalist in 1985. He later worked as a writer and editor for several British “red top” tabloid publications including, The Sun, Daily Mirror, and the now defunct News of the World.
He was appointed as editor of the News of the World in 1994, and at the age of only 29, this made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than 50 years.
Piers Morgan began his television career in 2003 when he presented a three-part television documentary series for the BBC titled The Importance of Being Famous.
Morgan has since gone on to work with ITV, Channel 4, and the American network NBC, where he was a judge on America’s Got Talent. He later appeared in the same role for the British version on ITV.
Piers Morgan first appeared on ITV’s “Good Morning Britain” show in 2015.
Piers Morgan married Marion Shalloe in 1991, the couple had three sons before divorcing in 2008. In 2010 he married journalist Celia Walden and in 2011 Celia gave birth to their daughter, Elise.
Piers Morgan is often viewed as a somewhat controversial character and does like to speak his mind, (hence the recent incident over his Meghan Markle comments).
Given his history of comebacks, I doubt very much that we have seen the last of Piers Morgan on our TV screens.
